Burnaby Central Railway

 

Description

The Burnaby Central Railway has over 2 miles of 7.5" gauge track. The railway provides rides to the public from 11 am to 5 pm on Saturdays, Sundays, and statutory holidays from the Easter weekend through Canadian Thanksgiving (second Monday in October). The track may also be available for operations by members and visitors before and after public running hours and on other days by arrangement.

 

Cost
Regular Fare $2.50 Good for one 10-15 minute ride.
Infant Fare Free No charge for infants under 36 months.
12 Ride Ticket $25.00 12 rides for the price of ten. No expiry date.


Group Rates Group rates are available for group picnics, birthday parties, and other groups.

 

Arrangements must be made at least one week in advance. Call 604-291-0922 on Saturday or Sunday from 11am to 5pm for details.

Getting There

The Burnaby Central Railway is located in Confederation Park in Burnaby, BC, at 120 North Willingdon, five blocks north of Hastings Street, and approximately 2 miles north of Highway 1 Exit 29 (Willingdon).

 

The main entry to the site is from Penzance street.

Parking is available in adjacent lots and on the north side of Penzance.
